The logo of Soul Mandalas is designed by mandala artist Désirée Fasen

Take a look at her website  'www.mysticcircle.be'  by clicking on her name.

The logo represents 'shining as the sun' where we live from our full potential.

Symbols that are used :

13 sunflowers

caterpillar

heart with 5 butterflies

sun

13 sunflowers

Sunflowers are associated with joy and cheerfulness.

They carry the ability to bring brightness wherever they grow. They represent warmth and positivity.

Sunflowers exhibit a unique behavior called heliotropism, where their heads turn facing the sun.

This symbolizes an unwavering faith while growing and reaching for their aspirations.

In the logo, the 6 sunflowers on the left side represent the female energy and the 6 sunflowers on the right the male energy. In the middle you have the 13th sunflower where male and female energy come together in total balans.

Caterpillar

The caterpillar represents transformation, personal growth and the potential for new beginnings.

From the sunflower in the middle, the caterpillar encourages us to embrace change and to recognize our own potential.

Significant changes take time and effort. So be patient and brave to let go of the old and let the new come in.

Heart

To transform the old into new, it's important to trust your inner guidance, follow your heart and align your actions with authentic feelings.

Sometimes it can feel safer to follow your mind.

Your heart, however, is connected to something larger.

5 butterflies

The butterflies inside the heart represent freedom.

By following your heart's desires, you will notice emotional and spiritual liberation.

The journey of the butterfly reminds us of the importance of embracing change and the freedom that comes with it.

It inspires us to seek our own path and make choices that align with our true selves.

Butterflies encapsulate the essence of freedom, transformation and the beauty of life's journey.

Sun

With the freedom of the butterflies and the guidance of the heart we can truly shine as the sun.

'Shining' is more than just a simple brightness.

When an individual shines, they not only illuminate their own path but also serve as a beacon for others.

A shining person is guided by inner peace, transparant in their actions and approaches the world with an open and positive mindset.

Shining is not about standing out for personal glory but rather about inspiring others to seek their light within.

The process of shining involves purifying oneself from the inside out, much like a diamond that has been cut and polished to perfection.

Mandala symbolism

1 Oct, 2025

Soul Mandalas is a purely intuitive process where you make your own unique creation within a circle, filled with colors and patterns. The mandalas you draw become a symbol of unlimited potential, an icon of your journey towards wholeness. The colors you use speak to your emotions and the patterns echo the world around you.

The mandalas you create will invite you to pause and to recognize the sacred in the everyday.

Mandala symbolism offers us more than beautiful patterns. It provides a visual language for understanding ourselves and our place in the universe.

Each color you use resonates with specific emotional and energetic qualities. While interpretations may vary slightly across cultures, certain associations remain fairly consistent:

Red – Represents vital life force, passion, and grounding energy. Red activates motivation and courage when feeling stagnant or fearful.

Orange – Connected to creativity, joy, and sensuality. Orange brings warmth and enthusiasm, making it helpful during times when inspiration seems distant.

Yellow – Symbolizes mental clarity, wisdom, and personal power. Yellow supports to make decisions, and helps building confidence.

Green – Associated with heart energy, balance, and growth. Green nurtures emotional healing and help us feel connected to nature’s restorative power.

Blue – Represents calm, communication, and truth. Blue facilitates peaceful expression and helps quiet an overactive mind.

Purple – Connected to spiritual awareness and intuition. Purple supports meditation and accessing to deeper wisdom.

White – Symbolizes purity, clarity, and new beginnings. White creates space and openness in mandala designs.

Black – Represents mystery, protection, and the unknown. Black in mandalas often defines boundaries and creates contrast that helps other elements stand out.

Each element that we use within mandalas resonates with our inner selves.

Hereby are some of the most common symbols with their interpretation.

Circle - The circle is seen as a symbol of eternity, with no beginning or end. It invites us to seek balance. It encourages a sense of belonging within the universe.

Spiral - The spiral represents growth, evolution and progress. We might revisit certain challenges throughout our lives but each return offers an opportunity for deeper understanding.

Square - Squares embodie stability and structure. They can signify exploring feelings related to personal boundaries.

Triangle - The triangle represents energy and the balance between different forces.

Upward facing triangles represent masculine energy, action, often linked to the element of fire, signifying transformation and empowerment.

Downward facing triangles are associated with feminin energy, with intuition and emotional depth. They also represent grounding energy that connects us with the earth.
